Tiffany & Co. Part 1

I just finished a project for my Intro to PR class. It was a crisis management, group project and we were instructed to plan a PR campaign for a company that has been recently affected by a crisis. The company my group chose was Tiffany & Co. We planned our PR campaign around the economy crisis lowing their sales and the crisis of counterfeit products being sold over ebay. Our campaign included a celebrity/promotional event called "Breakfast At Tiffany's". This is a brunch for specially invited celebrity guests. It will be a red carpet event with press invited from all over the country. The event will take place in New York City. At the event, there will be Tiffany's finest in jewelry items on display for purchase. It will also be the premiere revealing of a new Tiffany necklace named the "Tiffany Teardrop". The necklace, in the shape of a teardrop, represents the world united in stopping the use of "blood diamonds". This necklace will be available for purchase at the brunch event and a portion of the proceeds will go to families that have been affected by the mining of blood diamonds. After the event the necklace will be available online for the general public. This is the first part of our PR campaign for Tiffany & Co. Next week I will tell more.
